Privacy Policy: Digline

Last updated: 02 August 2026

Digline is a single-player game with no account sign-up, no ads and no user tracking. It does collect a small amount of anonymous technical and usage information, described in full below.

Who is responsible for your data

The data controller for Digline is Luis Herskovic, an independent developer based in Chile. You can reach me at lstmnspprt@gmail.com about anything on this page, including any request about your data, and I will always answer.

What is collected, and why

WhatWhyProcessed by
Approximate usage data: which screens you open, which in-game actions you take, session length, app version, device model, operating system version, language and country of your App Store storefront. To understand which parts of the game people play and where they get stuck, so the game can be improved.Google (Firebase Analytics)
A randomly generated app instance identifier. This is created by the app on your device, is not your Apple ID, is not the advertising identifier (IDFA), and is reset if you delete and reinstall the app.To count distinct installs so usage statistics are not double-counted.Google (Firebase Analytics)
Crash and error diagnostics: the crash stack trace, device model, operating system version, app version, free memory and storage at the time of the crash, and a randomly generated installation identifier. To find and fix crashes and performance problems.Google (Firebase Crashlytics)

None of this is linked to your real-world identity. I cannot identify an individual person from any of it.

What is never collected

Legal basis (UK/EU GDPR)

Where the UK or EU GDPR applies, the legal basis for the processing above is my legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f)) in keeping the game stable and understanding how it is used, balanced against your privacy by keeping the data anonymous, minimal and free of any advertising or cross-app tracking.

You can object to this processing at any time by contacting me at lstmnspprt@gmail.com, or simply by deleting the app.

Where your game data lives

Your game progress is saved locally on your device.

If you are signed in to iCloud and have iCloud Drive enabled, your save file also syncs through Apple's iCloud key-value store so your progress follows you between your own devices. That data sits in your personal iCloud account under Apple's privacy policy; it is not sent to me and I cannot read it.

If you use Game Center, your achievements and leaderboard entries are handled by Apple under Apple's privacy policy. I receive no personal information from Game Center.

In-app purchases, if any are offered, are processed entirely by Apple. I never see your payment details. The app only records locally that a purchase completed.

How long it is kept

Analytics and diagnostic records are retained for up to 14 months and are then deleted automatically by Google. Crash reports are retained for up to 90 days.

International transfers

The services listed above are operated by Google LLC and its affiliates, and the data may be processed on servers in the United States and other countries. Google relies on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses and its certification under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework for these transfers. See firebase.google.com/support/privacy for details.

Your rights

If you are in the UK, the European Economic Area, or another region with comparable law, you have the right to request access to your data, correction, erasure, restriction of processing, portability, and to object to processing. Because the data collected is anonymous, I usually cannot connect it to you individually, but if you contact me I will do whatever is technically possible, and I will always answer.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your national data protection supervisory authority. In the EU you can find yours at edpb.europa.eu; in the UK it is the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

California residents

I do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined by the California Consumer Privacy Act, and I have never done so. There are no financial incentives tied to data, and you will never be treated differently in the game for exercising a privacy right.

Children

Digline is not directed at children under 13 and I do not knowingly collect personal information from them. No age is requested and no profile is built. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact me and I will delete whatever can be identified.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the date at the top of this page changes with it. Material changes will also be noted in the app's release notes.
